The 21-fret format may be a showstopper for some players.

Not for this guy! I am really digging the look of that neck...21 Frets and all! Sweet axe!

Thanks for the pictures, Jimmy James.

Let us know how it goes, enjoy it.

I guess a 22fret version is more complicated construction.

+1

I've never found a need for the extra fret either but some players enjoy that capability. I mentioned it only as a factual observation no nobody's surprised or disappointed if they end up with this Strat model.

I saw a neck like this a couple of years ago. I think it was Framus. If you go to there site, you'll see a lot of interesting advancements in guitar building.

Sorry, I just revisited the Framus site. Not the same build but the same purpose. They call it Invisible Fretwork Technology.

Hello smajee8: that's a great suggestion. The 360 degree factory tour with all its embedded videos is hours of excellent fun and well worth hunting down. Brilliant stuff - I just love the custom designed headstock gluing machines. And the fret installation robot is mind popping!

Hey, who needs humans, huh?

Didn't see anything quite the same as Fender's channel-bound fingerboards, but tons of other good things going on. Thanks for the heads-up.

Cheers - C
