Looks legit to me. They've gone through various changes through the years.

The lack of control holes for the CNC does not bother you ?
Every MIM body I can find online has one or three of them

Looks like a Squier to me.
All those visible joins on a burst from a factory that we know does veneers for bursts? The hole in the neck pocket is in the wrong place and look at that bridge.

It's often so hard to tell with bodies. But not only do I agree about the asymmetrical joins being wrong, none of the cavities look kosher either. Especially the middle pickup route and the control cavity. I don't remember ever seeing shapes like that on either a Fender or a Squier.

If I had to bet (I'm glad I don't) I'd put money on this never having been anywhere near a Fender or licensed factory.

My two pennies' worth.

Cheers - C

My Tex-Mex strat has similar routing, but nicer. I never seen Fender have the ground wire come up in that spot. You can see little circles in the corners too from routing, think a Fender would of been done a little nicer.
Saddles look kind of like thew cheapy ones.

Here's a pic of my tex-mex body, which has the CNC circle.

Hi Jason: that's a great comparison, because look how irregular the routing of the middle pickup cavity is on the Ebay Strat compared to yours. In fact, all over - it's like the Ebay one is just a slightly crude copy of your model. Which may well be exactly what it is.

It would be great to extract the picture from the Ebay page so's we could see the two side by side, just for the educational benefit. I'm on the move at this second and am not going to fanny around doing it on my phone - but anyone else is welcome... :)

Anyhow. Good pic, Jason.

Cheers - C
