So i have a Fender HSS w/ a pearly gates reverse zebra 4 conductor in the bridge (not the PG +) and 2 fralin blues special singles. the switch is a superswitch.
first i had it wired so that the red and white wires go toghetger to the switch, the green and barre go to the volume pot, and the black again to the switch. the humbucker sounded fine, but the second position (b+m) sounded thin and trebly. so i switche the black and green, so now the black and barre go to volume, green to switch. sounds better, almost quack, but without much bass. when in second position now the middle pickup goes with the bridge side(the coil with screws) of the humbucker. i want in that second position to have the middle and the neck side coil of the humbucker...how do i do that?
thank you

So the black and green wires go together to the switch; the white becomes hot and the red becomes ground. You're welcome. :D

thank you for your reply.
i tried to wire it like you say, with the following results:

the humbucker seems to sound different in full mode. is it supposed to sound different or do my ears deceive me?...i have to mention that my strings are way old...

in 2nd position i have the middle pu w/the neck side coil of the hb, it sounds better, almost there, event though there seems to be a little drop in volume and a little lack of bass...and i think it isn't hum cancelling in this position...

i even tried to reverse the white and red, but i think i made a bad connection, because the hb didn't sound in any way, and i lost my patience to go and check...:)

It may very well sound different because once the polarity is changed in any pickup, there will be subtle nuances in its tone to varying degrees. Couple this with the fact that a PG has deliberately mismatched coils. Meaning, it won't 100% humbucking in full mode and teamed with any other non-identical coil, the results will be the same.
