Has anyone here made a Fender Custom guitar at the "Wood Vault"? I going to be taking a road trip to Fender and build my Stratocaster just how I want it. If you did what was it like?

You mean the "Build your own" at the visitor centre? I've looked into it as I've been wanting to do the same during a holiday- from what people say on the net, you get a selection of pre-wired pickguards, finished bodies and necks which are assembled for you. Not entirely customshop, at about $2k give or take, it would be cheaper building your own partscaster as you will achieve a very similar or same result.

Hi taking a trip to check out the Fender factory is well worthwhile even if you do not intend buy a guitar.
Here are a couple of shots I took while there.

She's likely one of the last FMIC employees to have actually met and worked for Leo.

Ah the tales she could tell......
