can some'one help me

I'm interrested in buying a jimmy vaughan tex-mex strat.

Does somebody know if it play's well?

Is there a strong difference between a US standard and the Jimmy vaughan strat?

i traded it in for an american, i think because his signature was on it - im not a huge jimmy vaughn fan-im more into stevie, but ya his guitar has a good sound

Just bought a Jimmi Vaughn in oly white a couple of weeks ago. I love it. I can't put it down. Really beefy and comfy neck. Killer pickups. I put Callaham bridge complete for $120.00 but the improvements on this particular model were minimal as it comes with a really hefty block. My best advice would be to change the saddles and bridge plate only, and leave the rest stock. A real fun strat to play!

You might want to google it - seems the rest of the world is using Vaughn but you can be different if you like.

btw - it's people, not peolpe.

It's funny then how every CD, LP or concert lineup says VaughAn, both in the case of SRV and JV. Also check out the wikipedia article, it clearly says Vaughan with the "a".

EDIT: I also googled it. Came up with 30000 matches and a blue bold headline reading did you mean "Jimmie Vaughan?"

Yessir, all of my SRV albums spell his last name "Vaughan."

I recently read the liner notes in some CD and among the "thank yous" was one to "Jimmie Ray Vaughan." When did he use that middle name?

Suggest you read the specs and understand the characteristics of this guitar's circuitry and pickups which are its' character. I judged the V-neck to be the standard Fender type. If, in your location, you can find a dealer who has one on the wall then audition it. If you like it, order one new, and take delivery of it, unopened, and see it out of the case. I consider all guitars on the wall as demonstrators and not to be sold as new.

Keep us current on your progress....and....of course.....take note of the spelling of the name. I also offended our esteemed colleague in recent past. He takes umbrage at such infractions.

Best.

you had a good day?

For those of you who don't know what we're talking about, last saturday (May 17th) was the norwegian national day, which is typically a HUGE event.
