Corgan strat is awesome. lzozlozzz you are setting yourself up for discouragement by asking the old folks here. They hate Corgan and Smashing Pumpkins and that clouds their judgment when they attempt to comment on this guitar.

jumbo frets is another thing...it's a pro guitar that he still uses on tour right now

LOL recommending a mexican strat to you./

I have to agree a little bit here- although not in relation to this topic, just in general.

I don't doubt corgans abilities, even as a song writer. I was fortunate to be a teenager when Siamese Dream and Mellon Collie and the Infinte Sadness was released. I loved the Pumpkins back in the day. But some don't even know who he is or give his music the time of day. I'd extend that to John5 or Jim Root. Yeah we can point towards the older members here, being biased to their own genres however I will admit there are a lot of blues and country artists that attribute their namesakes to Fender that I don't give any attention to. I don't like country personally, I put that down to my age. Also, might I add- American country music just isn't popular here- it's more of a localised music scene in the states.

Personally, I don't like the Corgan Strat for 3 reasons. 1, it's a signature model. 2, it has 3 rails pickups. 3, it's a hard tail.
But if that pickup configuration is desired, then new pickups in a regular strat will get you there. Hardtail strats are rather limited however.

Everyone is not strange, we're just all different.
