Hi, this ist Dr. Pot and i have a sweet Fender Strat. in Cadillac Pink. (prepare for bad english im from germany)

Image

This Guitar gives me the creeps. Why? The Guitar has no age.

I made some Photos to show you why:

Image
First of all the Head (in a Fender forum i read, that this print was only done like that till 1959, after 1959 they put the Trade mark 'n stuff on the Head too)

So, if we believe the Stock, my Guitar is 54 years old (about three times older than me :D)

But if i look up, what the Serial Number of the Metal Plate says, my Fender is from 1963-64

I also found this on the Stock:

For those of you who dont understand what it means (and i think most of you dont) this "64 Fulda" is the address of the Music-Shop where the original Owner bought it.
But nowadays the adresses in my Country have 5 Numbers - 2 Numbers where used in the 60ties.

So my Guitar, or at least the Stock, is quite old in general, but i'd really like to find out, how old it it is for real, do you have any Ideas how i can find out?

PS: I believe the Body wasnt simply mixed with the old Stock, because at the Stockend near the Metalplate there are little pieces of cadillac Pink colour. (you can see one of these colour pieces on the stock over the 7 of the serial number)

Just dont react on it, i actually peeled of the sticker and saw that the dude who sold it to me faked the whole guitar (it is from mexico 2002-2003).

Fixed so people can read what is written without a magnifying glass.

So how much did you pay for the guitar?

MIM '60s Classic Series Strat, with a customized neck plate.

No mystery here, I build them all the time.

Nice guitar (if you're into Shell Pink).
