Which of the two colours of this guitar model do you think plays better or are they about the same. Which of the two colours do you think looks better, Candy Apple Red or the Three-Color Sunburst? Also why the neck of the Candy Apple Red guitar darker than the neck of the Three-Color Sunburst?

Dunno about the CV Strats, but I bought my American Standard in 3 color sunburst.

It calls to me whenever I enter the room.

Three-Colour Sunburst, ties in nicely with the rosewood fretboard.

Since 3TSB is closer to 2TSB than CAR is, 3TSB wins. :P

I dunno what went on in the 60s that they felt like adding an extra tone for.

It was to favor the extended bass and treble frequency response of the then-new blackface amps.
