[quote="nikininja"]Gave it away.

Were you feeling extremely generous to give it away! Lol! or was it just a guitar that didnt fit your playing style? What do you normally play now?

My other friend: 2013 AmDux. Sunburst

In truth, I'm gigging a lot, so I just take crash around wrecks. Cos we get a lot of beer thrown at us, share a lot of bills with other bands and not everyone is honest.

I gave the Deluxe to my eldest daughter. Her mom told me that over the Easter holiday she'd been bored. So grabbed one of my crash arounds and taught herself to play a couple of Oasis songs, in a week. One week from never having touched a guitar to playing (chord changes fluid too) and singing. She'd begged her mom not to tell me she'd been playing my guitar.
I was so impressed when I heard her I gave her a good guitar, amp and tuner. She's learned a load of other songs in the last month.
I use my other guitars for recording with the band. So she can have that and be perfectly comfortable whilst learning to play.

Nah she's a great daughter. Doing excellent at school, they reckon she's in the top 16'th of the country for Maths and English. Her teachers are telling us she's Oxford or Cambridge University bound. She never puts a foot wrong.

The missus must have had an affair in the past!

Yeah lots.
Just gave my oldest one to my bands singer. A 1995 Mexican that I've done so much to it's unrecognisable

Image

A 2007 Custom Classic that sometimes gets recorded but never gets out the house any more. It came with SCN's and S1 the same as the 04-2010 Deluxe. But because I had a Deluxe I ripped that lot out and shoved some Bareknuckles pickups in it.

Image

And my utter favourite Strat ever. My go to Strat.
A 2008 57 Hotrod (pictured here left of the above pictured Custom Shop). It has SCN's in the neck and middle and a Dimarzio in the bridge position.

Yep, I love the Dimarzio in the bridge. I've no use for singlecoils in the bridge position on a Strat. I think the Tele version of that sound is much better.
I've been through a plethora of humbuckers in my Les Paul and still have lots of them left, nothing comes close to that Strat with the Dimarzio though. The sound is thicker than pea soup.

What Dimarzio is it? Tone Zone or Super Distort?
