Thanks, Highline. Yep, a NOS '11, and not a scratch on her..

Have you already tried the post-2012 models with the Fat 50s?

No, I haven't tried the new ones with the Fat 50's yet, but I hear those pups are nice as well.

But I really love the alnico V's on this one. Clean, they are just the Strat tone I was looking for. Granted, they don't seem to dirty up too well with my OCD pedal, but that clean, glassy Strat tone is what I was looking for..

I got a killer deal on it, too, so I'm pretty happy with this 2011 model. The local Best Buy here is closing out their musical instrument dept., and I snagged this baby for $632.99!

I couldn't walk away from that deal.... :D

The 3-tone sunburst finish, alder body, aged parchment parts and the 2-piece maple neck with its warm rosewood fingerboard make this guitar feeling, looking and sounding like a good ol' early-to-mid '60s Stratocaster

Truly a nice mixture of vintage and modern!

Can't beat that with a stick.

Congrats! Looks like that Strat has found a happy home!

Oh yeah - you better believe it... Lovin' this new Am Standard!

Sorry for the deleted pics in my earlier posts - not sure how that happened.. I am changing over from Photobucket to ImageShack, so I'm guessing something messed up when I was doing that..

Anyway, I think this was the pic that was deleted..

Yes, it does have that 60's vibe - and what's funny is that I also have a Roadworn 60's that I've had for about 3-4 years now (a great Strat, too), so maybe I have a little too much 60's vibe???....

NAW... !!

They DO look kind of similar, though... But I just couldn't pass up this deal on the American Standard...

Ditto Benny...and welcome to the zoo :!: I like that American Standard case. They should consider the same with a tweed exterior for the vintage vibe.
