How about this description?!

For balanced and warm instruments. Works especially well with mahogany bodies and rosewood fingerboards.

It's Seymour's personal recommendation.

Fender used this pickup with the Fat 50s and the result was quite impressive.

Here's a short clip showing a 2003 Showmaster in action:

I use 500K pots with my Duncans in my Tele.
Should I keep the stock 250K pots in my strat?

I should buy the Trembucker? White or Aged White?
I forget if my Fat 50s are white or aged.

Thanks.

If you buy the '59 Trembucker you'll get exactly the same pickup configuration as the Showmaster.

This humbucker compliments the Fat 50s to perfection!

Trembucker is F Spaced and will work directly in your pickguard (2 mounting screws bass side 1 mounting screw treble). I bet you would like the Duncan JB. Your covers on the 2013 are Aged White and I believe Duncan refers to this color as Parchment.

Parchment is the cream looking and white one

Yes I have used and like the JB, but I am not sure how they would balance with the Fat 50s. The 59 may be better. Another like the JB is the Dimarzio Air Zone and Rio Grande BBQ. BBQ is nice! I may try that or the Muy Grande

The 59 is almost identical to what you have unless its this Hybrid you spoke of then I dont know it.

Yes I would leave the 250k pot alone, I do. I run the Fender Hot Rod Humbucker and its virtually the same as a JB. The higher DC resistance humber pickups will sound better not running a 500k pot and as you have noticed the little single coil sized humbuckers sound better with the 500k pot.
Full sized high DC resistance humbuckers tend to over saturate in my opinion and get a little microphonic with 500k volume pots at club and arena levels

Remember the Fender Atomic is called Hot Rod in Aged White to match your Plastics

The 7.85k reading they refer to is just across 1 coil the pickup wired with black and white wire soldered together across green ground and red hot will ohm out at 15k about.

This one is easiest install because it matches your fender in wiring and polarity.

I was also told Duncans and Dimarzios are a straight drop in with Fenders and I trust Duncan to make a better humbucker than Fender so I think I am going the Duncan SH-16 Hybrid route. The Duncan Lil 59 is spectacular in my Tele. I need to research how to install. Any thoughts on wiring diagrams for this? I will provide a full report with pics. :)

Thanks!

Ok yeah I foundly found that pickup and read specs it should be cool :) Make sure to get a Trembucker so it lines up Fender spacing and no drilling of the pickguard is required.
The color your looking for is Parchment unless you want black

I am shocked Duncan recommends the 59 since it is not that great with 250K pots. It may also be too bright.

At this point, I want something around the same output, yet warmer. Maybe I need to go back to Dimarzios like the Air Classic or Air Norton.

Before taking any decision it's important to test different combinations of humbuckers from Fender and other manufacturers for a comparison.

I think it's a good starting point.

You can even try boutique humbuckers.

Bear in mind that despite their exceptional tonal qualities boutique pickups are extremely expensive.

A good friend of mine and my tech have Suhr strats but they are not sure which Suhr pickups they have. I have used boutique pickups by Wolftone, WCR and others and never found them any better than Duncan or Dimarzio so I prefer to avoid.

Don't laugh guys but I am going to stay stock a while and also going to try the Duncan Pearly Gates which I have heard in a strat and thought it sounded amazing for clean and rock music, and work well with 250K pots. :)
