With Fender's new-and-proprietary low-observable "stealth" lacquer finish.

Very deceptive!

That's what I was thinking. Install gold hardware any you have a MIM Mary Kaye Strat. How did you post the pic of my strat?

I've copied the IMG code and paste it.

Simple as a kid's toy. :P

The original Mary Kaye Strat uses a 1-ply 8-hole white guard and old-style Klusons.

Your guitar in its current form resembles more like Buddy's blond axe.

Nice Strat...and Gold hardware would really add some bling to it and would really go with the finish 8)

A classic colour scheme, congratulations. Does it sound as good as it looks?

The sound of both of my new MIM Standard Strats was suprising. I bought the first one with the intention of hot rodding it. I didn't even plug the guitar into an amp. When I got home and plugged the MIM Strat into my Fender Deluxe Reverb I was amazed at how good it sounded so I decided to leave OEM pickups installed.
I need to stay away from the guitar store for a while because today I saw a MIM 70's Strat that caught my eye. I think the MIM Standard is the best bang for your buck right now.

MIM Standards never came with spaghetti decals, only silver transitional and black CBS era.

Your guitar is either a MIM Classic 50's which an aftermarket 11-hole 3-ply guard or a MIM Standard with a Classic 50's neck fitted in.

The closest thing you might expect from a "new" Buddy Guy signature Strat (which is actually in the works).

I thought, for sure, that the new signature guitar would look like this. I suppose it isn't as charismatic as irridescent blue with white polka dots. But I'd rather have 'Blondie'.
