Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

Sure does, I love how the pink paisley is subtle under the reliced gold
finish.

Huge frets...I like that. Ugly $@! guitar tho....just my opinion and means nothing really. I wouldn't pay for CS strat to have look like a crappy gold spray job over an old pink paisly.
I would love to hear the guitar with out delay or compression.
The dif bewteen the bridge pup and the neck was too drastic. I wonder what pups he has and if the bridge pup has a base plate on it.

I do NOT see the point of a "relic"ed guitar. Give me paisley or gold, but not a crappy combination of both.

It's a fairly extreme relic in a way, but I think it's also quite clever: it perfectly reflects all of the opinions you guys have expressed. I can imagine a guy with a 1969 paisley pink strat thinking "my guit's kinda girly, I shoulda got the firemist one", grabbing a '57 PG from the local shop's parts bin, a rattle can of gold paint, and giving it a quick-and-dirty makeover. Roll on 40 years and this is what it looks like.

I actually really like the difference in bite between the two - to my ear there's still a really pleasant commonality between the two. I'd love to know what they are.

Actually I dig it too. With my Strat I very rarley use the bridge pup unoless I need to rreally cut through the mix for some reason. Never use it when playing on my own.
That bridge pup sounded like the rough edge was filed off....very nice. I bet it has a base plate or it was an effect of the compression, delay, and verb he had going on...

Nice job playing, great sound, but the guitar looks like crap. Like a piece of junk. Not for me...

Wow, a huge polar shift of dislikes... I liked it though. If I had the cash
To burn, I'd buy one. It reminded me a little of Joe's Gold Strat he started
out .
