Very nice indeed. Congratulations. I got my first strat a little over a year ago. Can't believe I waited this long for one. Enjoy it. 8)

I have a question about this guitar.
The bridge (not the saddles) is higher on the low E then on the high E (more space between the metal of the bridge and the wood of the guitar body, you can see more what ever the material is that the bridge floats on).

Is this the way it should be?

After a month with this guitar something just didn't feel/sound right, I thought it was my amp and was planning on getting another. While at work two nights ago I looked up my guitar on GCs website. The description had changed it no longer claimed to have Texas Special pickups! Long story short GC made a mistake and advertised this guitar as having TS pups and the greasebucket tone circuit incorrectly. I called GC customer service and they had the store trade out the guitar for the two-tone sunburst American Special (a 100.00 $ difference). Should be here in a day or two. Good customer service lives!

Are you sure that this guitar used to come with Texas Specials anyway?
I've played this model last year, and at that time it was the only American Special that came without Texas Special pick-ups, at least over here in Europe.
I guess for that it was also the cheapest American Special.
Nice guitar though.

No it never came with TS but GC did advertise it having them, Fender even knew about the mistaken ad.
