I didn't think it was possible.
I was reading user reviews and the good words got me curious.
Stopped by my favorite dealer to try it out.
(and yes, they set 'em up before they go up on the wall).

Anyway, couldn't believe how good it fit, how well it played, and how sweetly it sounded.
(To MY liking, that is, your criteria may vary)
And for 250 bucks ? The only difference I could detect was that is was a pound or two lighter than its MIA or MIM brethren.

I handed it back and thanked the courteous attendant and went home without it.
Very impressed... I re-iterate... for 250 bucks?

I'm going back tomorrow (payday) and play it in comparison with MIAs and MIMs.
If I'm still impressed, I'll get it.

for 250 bucks?

Anybody out there have one, stories to share?

I haven't played the VM Strats but I bought a Classic Vibe Jazz Bass last year and that's been a really great instrument. Could probably use a pickup upgrade but that's true of all budget instruments. Build quality is really good on lot of the Squier stuff these days, they've reclaimed their crown as the first choice beginner's guitar brand.

I know I was really impressed with the Classic Vibe Squires, there is definite quality to be had there. I'm probably going to get a Tele at some stage down the track (but don't want to drop a huge chunk of change on one) and to be honest, I'm really umming and arring between an MiM and a Classic Vibe.

This is a wrong forum

Go to the Squier Guitars section and start a new thread there!

I saw "Stratocaster"... and... well...
Just goes to show I need to stay off the computer and go practice my chops.
