I'm reading a lot about the s1 switch? Would that be a good option for me coming from Les Paul land for so long? I hear that it creates a humbucker like sound between the middle and bridge pickups.

There's a considerable amout of versatility in the S1 circuit. However, some are not as enamoured of the new N3 pickups in the AmDlx Strat as they were about the SCN Noiseless which preceded them. They were Bill Lawrence designed and patented. Hum cancelling single coils are in reality, stacked humbuckers. Suppose you audition one of several HSS Stratocasters and see if one doesn't satisfy your needs.[Go through the guitar products list and see what's available]. As well, many of our colleagues here are constantly upgrading their gear, so you can feel free to swap out anything in the guitar's electronics which suits you. Keep us posted.

I went to GC today and sat down and put my hands around my first American Deluxe!!! Whoa! Was like a hand in glove! I tried an American standard, and another deluxe with Volume bypass button. Loved those, mbut the tricolor sunburst am deluxe just works!!! I will have her shipped tomorrow!!! Once I get her in my office, my cameramen will setup a three shot angle video for review. Can't wait to share it! Love the saddles and locking tuners on er!

P.S. I adore the S1 option. Even the 5th position in S1 works if you bleed the tone way down, and push the amp to break up. A cool ashy sound. 1 on S1 rips deep like a bucker. However, I am frozen in my tracks when I went to the regular 4th and rolled a solo! I've been missing so much for so long, by not entertaining the Fender possibility! a new day has dawned!!

I'm just a tad pumped! Bahaaaaaa! A pint for all!
