I think if that were true everyone would be playing squiers. Which is blatantly obvious not the case. Therefore my conclusion is you're talkin' out your bum.

IMO of course. Maybe you have like the most amazing squier in the world, with damascus steel parts, wood from the bodi tree, and crafted by god himself. Or not. Whatever.

It may be that you are more used to your squier and have fine tuned it to he way you like it. It is your opinion. If you are more happy with a squier over a custom shop, damn, power to you...you just saved some money

I think you just got so use to playing your squier that it was uncomfortable to play the Custom Shop. I'm sure once the muscles and brain get use to the new feel you will truly see it's greatness.

Ask your salesperson at GC if they have a Masterbuilt guitar in their store's Platinum Collection that you could audition. Having done that, let us know what you think. Guitar necks and setups vary across the line and that might be part of your preference.I've played some Squiers which were nice, but no comparison to my CS.

Let find a CS Strat with the same neck shape and finish as your Squier, then compare.
There are very good Squier guitars, there ain't very bad CS guitars.

A Public Service Message:

Buford T was one of the multiple personalities of our resident troll. This screen name, along with almost all his others, has been banned: this thread was started in a childish attempt to stir the pot. The poster did not own a Squier and had not played a CS guitar... it's a fake.

I am certain that the troll still walks among us, and by responding to these threads, you only serve to feed his lonely and pathetic appetite.

Please let threads authored by members named FenderStrat, Cool Joe, Ben Dahoe, any variation of the name "tra" (backatra, for example) and Buford T sink to the bottom of the pool as they should.
