Thats like watching a dog try to run through the screen door.

Also, Your Schematic is Incorrect.

You've done some masterful soldering there radioamp, nice work.

I wish I could solder that well, unfortunately, I don't understand your instruction.

My guitar seems to play correctly, what would you change on that schematic?

Thanks for the input.

danagos, FYI, this radioamp fellow is also known as Greenheart and a bunch of other names. He is a troll that is obsessed with harassing me and has been kicked of this Forum many times (as well as others). He keeps coming back with a new user name to start trouble again. I have reported him to Brad, the Moderator of the Fender Forum. If I were you just ignore him. That is what most of us on here who know what is happening do anymore. There is nothing wrong with my schematic. I just changed how the TBX connects as I do not like it on all the pickups—all the time.

Thanks Xhefri, I couldn't be happier with the way my guitar (following your schematic) turned out.

I *try* to defuse negative/abusive criticism, if that doesn't work, just ignore the "BASTERDS"! 8)

That was one of your pictures he used to illustrate a "lumpy solder joint". I'll watch for new member names who flame in your posts.

Clean soldering in that pic, though.

AAARRRRRGGGGHHHHH, nobody's safe on the net anymore.

(...cancel my subscription to the resurrection....)

I had to replace my computer recently and I'm seeing a LOT of advertising everywhere on the 'net. I thought that it was me, maybe I don't have all the right blocks in place.

BUT, every Facebook friend's picture album I open has a pretty girl sending me an IM asking how I'm going to spend the money I won?!? Of course I haven't actually Won, but, "I am one of the select few in the running, just enter my personal details...."! Every picture I open.

This "the Best" competition (?) is some serious off-topic hijack/come-on/fraud. Right here where I thought it was safe.

sorry about the rant but, sheesh

Have you already installed an anti-phishing filter and an ad blocker?

Never open attached messages from unknown persons. Keep your antivirus updated, the firewall enabled and perform a malware scan regularly.

Good advice chromeface. I do practice "safe surfing", would never dream of opening an email from an unknown source, or allowing someone to "borrow" my laptop so they can surf.

I use Firefox and No-Scripts. Current Anti-Virus is Norton because it was on this laptop and the first 60 days is FREE (one of my favorite English language words). Probably go to Avira then. This Windows 8 is a strange new OS.

Tomorrow I meet with my IT friend and we'll discuss more security issues including an Ad Blocker.

I *think* I'm reacting to a real marketing awareness/greed on the 'net, which was kind of inevitable. There really is no "free lunch".

c'est la vie, :D

If you're using FF, I suggest you to install the latest version of Adblock Plus. You'll no longer worry about annoying pop-up ads.

+10000!!!

Lacks off a Start Menu and desktop booting.

Unsuitable for desktops and notebooks.

The ModernUI is a piece of crap.

We hope those features will be reinstated with Windows 8.1 Blue lately this year.

If you like to restore the Start Menu functionality from previous versions of Windows (XP/Vista/7) install the latest version of Classic Shell.

Those are good suggestions chromeface. I had planned on discussing Ad Block w/my IT savvy buddy today. Have to take a look at Classic Shell.

Hopefully we'll be able to access all the docs & pics on the old desktop.

Windows 8 is a pain,Woody Leonhard, the author of the 1,100+ page "Windows 8 for Dummies" states that it's easier to transition from earlier Windows to a Mac OS than to 8!

My main concern now is getting an affordable Highway One neck in good condition!! :)

Which type? Pre-2006 or post-2006 with the '70s large headstock?

I'm not familiar with the changes except for the large 70's style headstock. I've got an '08 body.

It occurs to me that we've completely hijacked Xhefri's post and should take this conversation elsewhere, maybe a PM?

quick question, I am rewiring my Strat, and the wires are all bad, so what kind of wire do you use for your wiring? Where do you get it?

Hi guys: just checking in here to see how Xhefri's build turned out, so if you'll excuse me for a moment I'm briefly going to interupt all this interesting computer talk and reboot the thread back to this:

HELLO! :D

Fellow Fender Forumites: which of us would not dearly love to get our sticky fingers around that axe for an evening or 20? Can you fault this man's knowledge, skill and sheer damn good taste? Huh? 8)

Way to go, X-Man! A big LIKE coming atcha from this direction.

And with that, we return you to the latest installment of OS-Chat... :)

Cheers - C

Hey, I don't do a whole lot of rewiring so I buy a couple of colors of 24 gauge, stranded wire at the local electronics store. My cost is between $4 & $5 for 25 feet.

You can always buy smaller, more expensive lots on ebay. Like some of that "cloth push back" type or whatever.

A smaller gauge means a thicker wire and you may find that 18 ga, for instance, is too thick to fit through tab on your pot.
