Where did you find those cool knobs? I'd love to do a custom buils ala Xhefri, but with the shopping around I just did, well I think I'll have to hold off a bit. Found a really nice quilt top body I'm really gassing for, but with the price of that and the neck I would want, just the lumber would bee about $1200
Maybe some day!

Checked in just in time to see the finished guitar - very nice work!! And count me among those who likes the fancy knobs on this one; they really compliment the redburst finish.

Xhefri, I'm looking forward to this build, I learn so much with each one...and I have a Lot to Learn!

Just finished my Candy Apple Red Strat Plus build using your Ultra wiring diagrams and everything I could remember (or look up) from your previous posts. Also, took your advice and used a linear taper pot to replace the missing Tone Pot from the set.

I'll post as soon as I get finished project pics.

Used a set of original "Fender-Lace Sensor" pups, Blue-Gold-Red dually, and they sound fantastic, clear and powerful, whether played clean or "dirty".

Stuff (picks, whammy bars, etc.) keeps falling off the top of my Blues Jr. from the Good Vibrations! Or maybe that's just the volume.

Can't thank you enough for sharing your projects with us.

Here's a pic of the hidden side of the Pickguard, it wouldn't be anywhere near as clean if I hadn't seen yours:

Apologies for hijacking the thread.

Nice job danagos. See you took my advice about separating the TBX from all the pickups by moving the lead to it to the left bank with the mini-switch. Good move. Like how you have the wires clean and together. You must have an older TBX? See it has the orange cap on it.

Thanks for the kind words, it was a labor of love that turned into a battle of wits!

Xhefri, I shamelessly copied everything I ever saw, heard & read from your builds! Thank You.

Good eye on that TBX pot, it came with the Ultra Pups so it's got to be over 20 years old. The only new addition was a 250k linear taper pot for tone 1 (as you advised) & dark red/brown cap.

There are more pictures posted under my "(Pics!) Candy Apple Red Strat Plus Restoration" post.

No worries, i was just breaking your chops! I was looking through a bit while at work, and was hoping you did put info somewhere, but time hasn't been on my side, as I keep getting called to go fix stuff! MACHINES JUST NOT COOPERATING TONIGHT  Love the way the build turned out Jeff!
