OK.

Jesus was killed on this day (Good Friday), so let's discuss that. I'm certain that he enjoyed music.

Now, how many miscreants are offended by that?

Well I for one have enough sensativity to understand and accept your post and hope it helps.

ZZDoc your a very wise man.

I agree I wish I didnt see it here because I wish it hadnt happened at all.

I am thankful that I am safe in my little world right now and able to have an opinion.

Miscreants??? Check your definitions, please. I do not see anyone herein, fitting that description, supporting the dissemination of information which might tie that guitar to the perpetrator[s] of the crime.

Dear shimmilou, I have seen yours posts from time to time and have appreciated your input. I am just scratching my head over this one. :? miscreants = a person who behaves badly or in a way that breaks the law. • archaic; a heretic. Doesn't seem to fit unless you are applying it to yourself in regards to the above post???

Anyhow, this thread was designed to try to help and meant no harm. I even remember other threads that seemed to deviate from simple guitar talk, like the time a group of us pulled together and bought parts for a fellow member to build a guitar because he was without for some reason. His thread just indicated that due to circumstances, he had to sell his guitar and was bummed. So in that case the thread helped someone out. No harm done. Like the radio, if you don't like the music, change the channel. :D

J: Knowing you as I do, and as some others herein might, where your message comes from may just not reach our colleague. Perhaps enlightenment may been inspired by another Source. All best wishes this holy weekend.

Sure, partly referring to myself, and partly a shot at anyone that would be offended by my topic yet not offended by the OP. :|

As far as getting together to help someone build a guitar, that is completely on topic and doesn't involve anything inappropriate for a guitar forum.

Trying to solve murders, is in no way shape or form appropriate for this forum. Maybe for the lounge if anywhere, but certainly an offensive, inappropriate topic for this forum. To suggest that anyone is "insensitive", because they rightly point out that this topic doesn't belong here, is just plain BS.

I've said my piece, and as usual there are some that just don't get it, and probably never will.

Seemed a little more like you were using the religious angle to try and spark a fire to get something deleted you didnt want.

Well I've said my piece, and as usual there are some that just don't get it, and probably never will.

New guy input.... I was in no way offended by OP's posting this thread. I was however, offended by shimmilou's reaction to it. I felt it was akin to someone raging out because an Amber Alert was made in his presence... All the negativity...what's the point...?

I knew Larry...he was a fine and gentle person. I understand your position, but you are wrong and I can't really say what I feel as I am sure it would be inappropriate.

It's clear, from the responses, that we do get it, that it was the right and proper thing to do, and you constitute a majority of one on opposition's side of the issue. The other responses support the posting of the occurrence, and the serial number of the guitar which was stolen. in the hope that it will lead to an arrest and conviction. Other than the bulletin board of every music store on the planet, I can think of no faster way to get the word out worldwide to a guitar community than this forum.

I just did a search on Google for Larry Robinson, and the crime. Really makes me angry. This guy was a great person and there was no reason for this. I DO hope they catch the person(s) who did this.

Shimmi I just don't get what possible offense anyone could have been taken with my post. The only thing that I can think of is that it is off topic, that I will give, but in no civilized way could be considered offensive.

Anyhow, it appears that out of the half million registered users here, I have managed to offend only you. That makes my apology easier.

Shimmilou I am sorry that you found my post offensive.
