Haha of course ZZ, I was just joking ;)

You can put any colour in front of me and I will hate it, but let me play the guitar for a while and any colour can grow on me. Same with music. As long as its old, and not this new Bieber/Hipster/Techno/Minaj/Rap stuff.

In fact I'm already starting to like the surf green colour :P

Also, my guitar shipped! Anyone who intercepts my package will get a swift punch in the face

Mine had to be ordered from Fender because Long and McQuade don't have any in stock. As long as you order it by the cut off date your good. I think Surf Green is a new for this year colour on the American Specials. I remember seeing it on Fenders Twitter account and realized then I wanted one. Great colour. 8)

Guitar Center has no option for purchasing a Surf Green Am Spl online or in-store as of yet. Many of their salespersons will try to deny its very existence!

One's person's trashy is another's classy, and vice versa. There's history and culture of the Stratocaster which speaks to that finish, in the same fashion as the sunbursts. That would be Jeff Beck. Then there are the finishes which are associated with other artists: Clapton's sunburst, black, pewter, red, green, EC gray, daphne blue, and Crashocasters; Gilmour's black, candy apple red, and white; Guy's polka dot; Beck's white; Holly's sunburst. The flood of relic finishes which are now so popular. There's enough in the catalog to please a wide variety of tastes and, if you can't find it there, you can ask the Custom Shop for a solution.

Try to find a Flamingo Pink.. even try to Custom Shop order one at any price. I dare ya! 8)

Hint: think Hank Marvin!

Take a smartphone in there, get the manager's attention, and then bring up Brad's thread and the post which lists all the guitars and finishes which are on the eligible's list. Your looking for SFG. Ask why that guitar can't be ordered.

Surf Green is a different colour, you either like it or you don't. I'm not a big Guitar Center fan, I usually spend my money at Long &McQuade. I like the idea that I can order something and pick it up at their Oshawa store, play it and then pay for it. My surf Green will get along nicely with my black and red Strats.

Typically how long do they take to ship? L&am said usually ships next business day but it's been two business days and hasn't shipped yet. I was thinking/hoping within the week but i don't have any experience with this

Cheers

If another store has one in stock then usually a couple days. If they have to order it directly from Fender then a few weeks.
