"Fender Stratocaster American Standard 2009 Modified"

-Hello folks,

I've been made some changes in my guitar and I thought there was a very big improvement technically speaking so i will show some of the modifications put some pics after and before and vids too to show the sound and the playability..In my personal opinion i really enjoyed the result and is a very nice option for those who can't afford an old 50s or a nice reissue stratocaster.

From what I see you have converted a modern American Standard into a battered old CBS model from the late 1960s.

Sigh....to each his own, but......

No offense to you; I think you did a good job in achieving what you wanted in a Strat, but I can't shake the feeling that a perfectly fine American Standard Strat has been desecrated.

I concour. What I would have done to get the "worn look" would be:
1. Find a 3-color-sunburst HWY1 body
2. Hand buff it with buffing compound.
3. Either, one, never use a case and let nature do it's magic, or use a power buffer and put some wear spots where you want them.

I I also concur. I DO think it's cool, and I'd bet it plays great and sounds awesome. But I also think baby Jesus is crying right now.

Sorry, but you just made a mess of a decent guitar
The "road worn" effect over the neck pickup looks like somebody just attacked it with rough sandpaper , you can even see the sideways scratch marks
(if it were real, the marks of your pick would go up and down, not sideways, that's just a dead giveaway that it's a fake finish job)

One of the things I think people forget about when they relic a guitar, is the neck. The body looks older, but the neck has no wear.

I laso noticed that the bridge saddles have zero rust on them.
