Waz UP Wit DAT??

I got tired of cleaning them with a Q-Tip after every practise or gig. So, just good ol' wiping down when performing after gig does nothing either ... they've rusted!
Which aftermarket saddles and screws won't rust?? :(

Stop using chrome plated. Use the steel or brass saddles and put some oil on screws.

Bent Steel saddles are nickel plated according to yesterday's tech support phone call ... screws are zinc. Neither one - saddles or screws - should be rusting. When I worked circuits in and around Detroit, they never rusted ... just got stolen  East side was my home (Warren & Cadieux).

Who cares?
As long as they do their job, don't bother!
Just put a drop of oil onto the screws, to keep them working.

Stainless steel strings do rust as well, depending on the amount of acid in your sweat.

It's normal that parts tend to rust, when they're constantly in contact with sweat.
The screws next to your palm will most likely rust, too.

I wouldn't bother replacing them, unless I want to sell it.
Then again ..... Vintage mania is booming!
