You can do a lot of crap to a Squier but it will still be a Squier. One big tell on the back of this one!

yup sqier body, check out the back plate holes. Could be Mex squier he doesn't specify it as Mex standard, just mex alder body. A bit misleading.

Asking a bit much as well. To me it looks like he removed the headstock logo's and called it good. $350, no waiting!

very common trick. We can only hope potential buyers check forums like this for opinions before pulling the trigger.

It does say in the ad that it's a Mighty Mite neck. Definitely asking (in my opinion anyway) a bit too much for a Squier partscaster

I rarely check Craigslist anymore. All I see in there is over pricing and scams.

Check this one out for example.

The black and gold one looks kind of cool but I'd run the numbers and remove the trem cover to verifly it. The other one looks flakey as hell!

Well seeing the black and gold one has no truss rod plug at all (walnut or plastic), The neck doesn't say where it's made....anywhere, and has no serial number, but it does have 22 frets, My guess would be that it's not a Fender neck. But nice decal work.

Not sure what you could verify by pulling the trem cover?

Squier Strats have a different hole pattern for the trem cover so you would be looking for extra screw holes for the trem cover. Pulling the trem cover would be the fastest way to bust this guitar. Good catch on the truss rod hole, Squiers also have that sort of truss rod hole.

Ya, I caught that. Made me chuckle.
30 years ago you could buy a basket case Harley (probably in several boxes) for $1000, and hope most of it was there.
