Hey guys,

I have an outstanding sounding 2003 Fender American Highway strat. I love how resonant it is, but I need more beef in the bridge, but not full on fat bucker. I tried different pickups and settled on the Dimarzio Injector or Chopper bridge. Still going back and forth. I love the Chopper so I may leave it.

I also replaced the stock middle pickup and neck pickup with Fender Fat 50s pickups. What? They are great. I see no need to try Dimarzio Cruisers and I am having no noise or hum issues in the band context plus I have an ISP if I need it for noise. :)

Fat '50s and a DiMarzio are likely a good fit with one another.

Thanks brother, I agree. The stock singles are fine with the Chopper, just too thin. Fat 50s should resolve that, thanks again.

My tech just emailed me and said most sound guys will give me $@!& about the noise so I better get noiseless.

Since I tend to prefer alnico magnets, maybe I just use the I njectors but I will say I think the Duncan Little 59 and Dimarzio Chopper sound sweet and they are ceramic.
I like the Dimarzio Virtual 54 Pro too.

I have Virtual Vintage DiMarzio's in two Strats (soon to be three). Plenty of punch and beef without the noise. Your sound guy will love you.

Which ones? I was thinking about the Virtual 54 Pro in the middle and neck with the Chopper bridge

So either two 54 Pros or a Cruiser neck and 54 Pro middle.

The two current guitars each feature a DP414 Virtual Vintage Solo Pro (now OOP) in the bridge, a DP415 Area 58 in the middle, and a DP416 Area 61 at the neck.

The new guitar will have DP404 Virtual Vintage Pro (also now OOP) in the bridge, a DP402 Virtual Vintage Blues in the middle, and a DP409 Virtual Vintage Heavy Blues 2 at the neck. Should be a real smoker if I ever up and finish the thing.

Very cool. Would you recommend the Cruisers at all?

Now you have me thinking Chopper - Virtual 54 Pro - Virtual Vintage Blues!

With all of this I am struggling with the tone pots. I wanted to move a tone pot to the bridge Chopper, and also not sure about the pot values - 250K or 500K?

The Injector neck and the Area 61 or 67 in the middle is nice.
