No, certainly not.

Dave never used Lace Sensors on his guitars.

Tim Renwick played a Strat Plus Deluxe during the Division Bell tour in 1994/95.

There's a Long Island, NY band, Project Floyd, whose lead player uses an HSS Strat through the proper signal chain and has DG's tone dimed. The Gilmourish website should give you the jump start. Of course, you'lll need to watch a load of videos to see where and how he prebends notes and chooses his fretting positions. I'd give the Black Strat wiring and pickups the nod as a first with the EMG SA's/EXG/SPC circuit as a backup. Of course, if you have the coin, you can give Cornish a holler.

......and laid down just a killer solo on "The Wall". I'm sure he's the guy who was the cause for Eric Clapton to give up a second guitar player in his band.

There were several sources for this. I am of the opinion that the video is not from the same concert that they used for the track on the CD. Both are great but IMHO the CD's solo is better. The quest for tone can be clearly seen as more than just the pickups. On my first hearing of the CD, I thought the player was still DG and flipped when I learned otherwise. 8) 8)

Yep - Gilmour never used Lace Sensors.

I use them for the versatility and tones they give me on live gigs (cover songs).

I used to have a SD SSL-3 and overwound '69's in the Black Strat but swapped them out for the Lace Sensors.

Mayer has the Big Dippers (does Fender even sell those independent of the Mayer sig strat?) and Knopfler uses all Texas Specials... very different from any Gilmour setup. But the Black Strat setup I would think will give you the most tonally diverse strat over the EMG setup.

Fender only sells the Big Dipper with the JM Sig guitar. I have found sets on ebay from time to time though.

There were rumours saying Tim Renwick's guitar was a Custom Shop Strat with EMGs.

Renwick said the guitar he used during the Division Bell tour was a Strat Plus Deluxe with Lace Sensors.

The colour of this Deluxe Plus remains a mystery, though.

Looks like Inca Silver but it's not. Inca Silver Pluses didn't came into surface until 1997.

I think it's a Pewter Plus Deluxe with a rosewood fretboard.

Xhefri, we need your help!

Knowing what that signal chain looks like, the pups [save for the RF interference] are likely the least important item in that signal chain. The fact that I initially did not know it wasn't Gilmour playing that solo speaks to it.

Dave played the main riff.

Tim performed the outro solo backed by Guy Pratt's slap basslines.
