Hi guys!
I really need you help now.
Few days ago I've purchased used Strat. An owner told me, that this guitar was made in Japan.
But, I've found this stuff on guitar:
1. 50th Anniversary label on the back of headstock.
2. Strange "Squier" watermark. Looks like "Made in China" is being missed (due to this source)
3. The serial number has an index "YN", which means Y = Yako (Taiwan), N = Nineties (1990s), but on the lower part of neck plate it says "Made in Japan"
4. Body looks pretty close to Affinities one
5. Too thin wiring cables

So, is this original or fake strat? Should I get my money back and get rid of this guitar?

Thanks everyone!

P.S. These are original photos of my Strat (click to view in higher resolution):

As long as you didn't pay more than $125, you should be fine. MIJ Fenders have a little decal at the heel of the neck indicating they were made in Japan...

I've paid $275
No decal at the heel of the neck, unfortunately.

Made in Japan?
I don't think so.
Do this : "Should I get my money back and get rid of this guitar?"
Of course if you like this guitar (play/sound) i'd say keep it.
(Taiwan for sure as you said it yourself.)

( the backplate :?: . ΥN serial made in Japan ?no way)

Thank you very much, dioulios.
Unfortunately, all my gear is on the way from USA to my country and I don't have an opportunity to test guitar sound that goes from pickups but acoustic. I think, today I'm gonna return it. ~$300 is too much for this enigma.

There's a long list why this thing is not genuine:

Body route
Bridge
Back of Headstock
Tuners
Neck Plate
