Hello, maybe someone can help on this subject. I just picked up a 95 fender strat plus deluxe blue burst with the optional floyd rose bridge. The tremolo arm I was given is just a plain arm, no allen head or plastic tip on either end. Does anyone know and have pics of the correct arm that came with the 95 fender strat plus deluxe w/floyd rose bridge? thanks,in advance, steve

You have the correct arm, these guitars (strat Plus Deluxe, Strat Ultra) did not have the plastic tip :) It should (I could be wrong here) be a push-in type arm.

The trem arm for these should look like this:

I think you are referring to this kind of bridge?

Or this kind? (they both take the same arm BTW.)

If the arm swings around too freely you can tighten the Allen screws on the back of the trem block and have the arm swing but stay in one place. Both types of DX bridges have these Allen screws:

Just enter Fender Deluxe Locking Tremolo in an ebay search and arms is about all that comes up anymore.
BTW you will like the one with the allen bit in the end better its a really bright idea.

These bridges were also available in gold and black.

The black Mini Floyds are less common.

Xhefri:

In the pic on the right - what is the screw in the lower center of the trem block? I have that bridge and don't know what that screw does.

Hey Mr. davidwhitson. The screw in the middle lower part of the block is for the overall harmonic prolongation of the tremolo. The frequency oscillation is magnified by the counterclockwise turning of the screw. In other words, I DO NOT HAVE A CLUE!  I have looked at this and have wondered, "What the heck is that for???" Maybe some guitars these were used on had a stop plate that you could set this screw against? :? I have a couple of these on the bench right now and they have always been fun setting intonation.

Wow. You made my head hurt until I figured out that you were joking! The intonation adjustment is NOT fun for sure. Otherwise, I really like this bridge.

Just saw this post and was hoping I might be able to get a little help. I have have the Floyd Rose system on the right and trying to find parts for this is VERY difficult. I am missing one of the micro washers that attach to the tuning screw. Any ideas where I might get one? I have search everywhere for one that small and have had no luck...

Thanks
Eric
