Does anyone know if it is possible to get gold plated screws and springs? I have a Strat with gold hardware, but the bridge has black saddle screws and intonation screws/springs.
It would just look a lot neater if it were all gold!

Hi Butterscotch: well genuine Fender saddle height screws are available in gold - see this page:

http://www.guitarpartsresource.com/screws_bridge.htm

For intonation screws they seem to be offering them in black or nickel but not gold, at least as far as I've been able to discover after searching the usual sellers. Someone else may know of a source?

Obviously all the other screws are available in gold - pickguard, neck, bridge mounting and such. I expect you knew that...

Cheers - C

Gold screws and springs are out there but availability seems to be hit-or-miss. If you cannot find genuine Fender pieces, check Allparts and the other "usual suspects" in the aftermarket. I know that I have a few unused sets lying around for various types of Strat bridges.
