Does anyone know a source for these outside the accessory set that includes pickup covers, knobs etc.?

I have a Classic 60s, which has all aged white parts on the front, and a blindingly white single-ply cover on the back.
I'm not sure why Fender couldn't make all the parts match.

Also, can anyone give the location of the string holes from the bottom edge of the plate? On my bright white plate, they're around 13/16" (or 20mm) from the bottom edge, and around 3/8" (or 10mm) long.
I ask, as the holes in the backplate don't begin to line up with the holes in the tremolo block when it's decked, meaning that the entire cover will have to come off for a string change - or I will have to relocate the cover, and leave visible screw holes in the back of the guitar.

It's difficult to be impressed by things like this on a guitar with a MSRP over $1000.

Grateful for any leads from anyone.

And that is why many people leave the cover off.

For replacement part:

Thanks for the tip, although I'm not sure they do an equivalent to aged white, which isn't as yellow as a 'cream'. I've already got an 'OEM' backplate cover that doesn't match.

I dare say it is, but wouldn't it be better if they were correctly fitted in the first place, so you didn't have to?

Also keep in mind that because it is simulated aging, back then they used different plastics for different parts, aging at different rate. If you look at actual vintage strats, they too have unmatched plastic parts.

Thanks again.

I've worked out that I can bump the cover towards the neck just enough to get the holes lined up properly, and not have any visible screw holes.
Hardly ideal, but that's what I shall have to do.

+1

Correct. I've seen vintage Strats from the '50s where the knobs and covers exhibit significant "brown-out", while the pickguard and trem cover have remained relatively white. Fender does offer some accessory options though and aftermarket trem covers are available from WD, Allparts, and Warmoth in aged white, cream, and mint green.
