Anyone buy one and what do you think? I have decided to replace my neck on my American Strat with a Warmoth Fat Back neck designed like a SRV neck. Are they worth the price? Should I just buy a used body or swap out my existing neck?

I bought one about three years ago,and it's currently on my one and only electric guitar. Stratocaster.

Mine happens to be maple with ebony fingerboard, compound radius, abalone round inlays, and medium jumbo stainless steel frets. Back of the neck is C shape, and it has the modern truss rod.

I'm very happy with the neck, and it required no setup other than attaching it to the body of my Strat.

My only gripe is that the finish (I ordered it with regular, clear finish) was thin to non-existant on the peghead. Also, the thickness of the peghead was a little off....too thick, as it was a little tricky installing the tuners, but close enough. I didn't like the edges of the peghead either. They could have been rounded off a lot better. The flaws in the peghead combined to make it look raw and unfinished. Really not acceptable when you consider the price of these necks.

However...I ordered a decal for the peghead (from another company), applied it, and clear coated it with Krylon acrylic and buffed it out. While I was at it, I used some 400 grit sandpaper to round the edges of the peghead. The end result was very good. The guitar looks great.

The only thing that keeps it from looking "factory" is when you look close, instead of Fender, it says Feline...Catostraster.....Original Fuzzy Body....yeah, I like cats.

The neck has been straight and true, requiring minimal adjustment. The stainless frets were well set, and still look new. It's a very nice playing, stable neck.

There's no way it should have been shipped to me with the screwy finish, and I should have sent it back and told them to get it right, but all's well that ends well.

All that said, I would still do business with them.

I just ordered Warmoth Pro, compound radius 10"-16", fatback neck profile, 21 frets (stainless steel jumbo), vintage tuner holes. Ordered mine unfinished as I want a dark tinted neck. I just hope it was worth it...

I also went with the compound radius rosewood neck with Clapton "V" shape and med-Jumbo frets. Great playing neck. Very fast!

Are they worth the cost? Mighty Mite is a cheaper alternate authorized replacement for Fender, but they are no where near the cost.

I've got a Warmoth maple neck....totally vintage specs with the Clapton profile. I really like it. I'm thinking about replacing the neck on my Squier Tele Custom and would probably go with a Warmoth.

They are!!
My Warmoth neck is one of the best I ever played!!

I had bought an extra body for it because I wanted to build my own custom strat which can't be bought like that in stores.

The neck was about 450 dollars plus shipping to Germany and it is worth every cent I payed for it!

Now that is cool! P-90's on a Strat? Sweet. That pickguard is awesome, where did you find that?

Thanx, Detroit!

I wish they were P90s but they're Tonerider Rebel 90s (pretty close to P90s though and very good pickups). I put them in for a try, liked them and left them in, instead of exchanging them with P90s.

I did the pickguard myself.
I used sharpies (well, called "Edding" in Germany) for the artwork and clearcoated it afterwards to protect it from wearing off.
