Holy crap, talk about your first world problems! You don't use these strings, but your upset they didn't come with your guitar?

You did read the disclaimer about specs can change WITHOUT notice correct?

That's my guess. The bullet ends were a worthless gimmick anyway. Tuning stability? Please!

My 2013 American Standard also had regular strings on it; I think Fender just hasn't updated the spec sheet and they are using the standard (i.e. non-bullet end) 250s on the Strats these days.

I hadn't had a set of bullets since I took the original strings off my 1979 Lead II in early 1980 (I got it Thanksgiving weekend in 1979)until I got a set as a "throw in" with my American Standard Tele. I just grabbed a set of .009s off the rack and didn't pay attention that I grabbed the bullets. I wound up putting them on the Tele anyway as I remembered how they can get "stuck" and figured it would be easier to get them out of the Tele than out of the Strat trem block if that happened.

I agree with shimmilou - these things are basically "snake oil" for the trem tuning stability anyway.

I get it now. They ARE Fender strings, just not Bullets.

I avoided Fender strings like the plague all these years because I thought they ALL had bullet ends -- and I hated the only Bullets I tried -- so I viewed not having them in my new USA Strat as a big plus and was ready to replace them right away if they were Bullets.

I don't know if I'll change my mind about Fender strings in general. Gotta try all my old favorites first.

I just bought a NOS 2011 Fender MIA Strat. The guitar was in the shipping box since 2011. My local guitar shop replaced the old strings and adjusted the guitar. The store you bought your guitar from might have just changed the strings.
