At first, hello to the forums!

I recently bought a Classic Player 50's Stratocaster FSR and I am more than happy with it. The product description says that it has a nitro finish but I can't find any information if it's just the body or the neck too?

Do you guys can help me? Also, is there any site on fender.com where I can find my guitar?

Thank you!

EDIT: so here are some pictures of my new beauty! Sorry, only iphone pics, but I think you get an idea on how nice this guitar is (have a look on the neck!). :)

Hi hacku, welcome to the Forum.

Out of those two it's polyurethane on the CP'50s neck.

Nearly all Fender guitars have urethane finished necks, regardless what's on the body.

There are a few exceptions, including American Vintage, some artist signature models and some Custom Shop guitars.

Fender FSR Classic Player 50's Stratocaster With Nitro Lacquer And Case , Two Tone Sunburst , MN

Watch This Add to Wishlist

Description

In our humble opinion, the Classic Player series from Fender contains some of the very best value products in the vast array of guitars that Fender produce.

This is the Classic Player 50's Strat. Stacked full of authentic vintage features, including a soft-V profile neck, and an American 57/62 pickup set offering that much sought after 50s Strat tone, shimmering clean tones and a gentle bite when required.

The FSR model here has additional vintage vibe from its Nitro Finish. This is a lighter finish than the Polyester finishes on most Fnder guitars, allowing the wood to breath and giving slightly more natural resonance to the instrument. In addition, the Nitro finish will mellow with age and develop and gentle patina giving it an authentic old-Strat appearance!

G&G Hardshell Case Included - FSR model only.

Hi isdi: as always, I stand happily to be corrected, but I think we'll find that while the body is nitro the neck is urethane.

Always used to be, at least.

Cheers - C

Congrats on that beauty!
I am still searching for just one of those (by the way I got no answer from Fender about the quantity as of yet).
Maybe there wasn´t one made for me.
Welcome by the way!

All the best,
Robin

To summarize, the neck is polyurethane finish (as specified by Ceri) and the body has a nitro finish.
It has a case included, which for the price is a great deal!
But you have to hurry because limited

I have the same guitar and have wondered the same thing regarding the neck. According to a couple of websites that have listed supposed specs of this guitar, the neck finish is poly.

Having said that, mine smells like nitro and is sticky like nitro. I know that isn't exactly scientific. But I've had poly guitars and nitro guitars, and the neck finish on this guitar sure feels and smells like nitro.
