OK here goes...i love the guitar...its so easy to play but....i have a prob and don't know how to fix it..i get this very annoying clanking sound at mid to high volume i was told to lower the pickup height i told support that i had already lowered the strings to 1 quarter inch below the strings. It fixed the problem somewhat but.the clanking can still be heard.Any tips would be greatly appreciated as there is no qualified guitar techs in my area thx people

I can't imagine anything that induces a "clanking" sound other than a completely lose pickup which moves around in the cavity when moving the guitar.

Can you further explain what exactly happens and when it happens?

Are you sure that there are no loose parts flying around under the pickguard? (screws)

+1

Something very wonky is definitely occuring. I'd pull the pickguard and take a look-see under the hood.

 ..... Couldn't resist ...
OP can you post a couple of pictures of the guitar. close up so we see just the body of the guitar from neck butt to strap peg. Take the photo so you are looking at the guitar at a 45 degree angle , this will let us see height differences if any of the pups, trem, neck and strings and where they should be.

Beats me!

Never heard of such a sound created by a guitar other than by loose parts.
Hard to help from the distance.

Are you sure it's the guitar??
By the sound you describe, I'd rather suspect the amp (like a busted reverb spring, falsly generated effect, something like that).

I have not the slightest idea, what could make a "clonk" or "clank" sound in a guitar if everything is properly attached and mounted.

The only "clank" I ever experienced was with one of my Firebirds, where the pickup was losely lying inside the pickup cavity.

I'm lost, regarding your case.

Upload them to a host (i.e. ) Photobucket.com.
Then copy and paste the

code of each picture into your text here.

I think it needs looked at under the pickguard or he is right you may have an amp issue.
Does this happen with other guitars plugged in or just this one?
