What about the Lace Holy Grails? How different would they be than the original Lace Sensor Golds. I see that the specs, resistance and inductance is much higher so I assume they will be slightly hotter and fuller sounding, more bass and mid. Am I correct in my assumption?

Also I was looking at the DiMarzio Area 58's. Any comments?

I'm not a big fan of Laces as (and as stated above), there's better choices out there for Strat pickups. Granted, they're not garbage but again...

Keep in mind that your assumption regarding resistance and inductance can be correct under certain circumstances but incorrect under others. There are a lot of other factors involved which have been spelled out (and rejected by the ignorant) ad-nausem. Specifically with this set of Laces though, your assumption is indeed, correct.

The Area 58 was the original one in the line that all the others were developed from and yet, I find it to have the least 'identity'. The high end (without the ice pick) is surely there but the mids and lows are somewhat missing. Yes, it certainly sounds like a quiet Pre-CBS Strat pickup but here too, there are better ones in the series. This can be seen by how many 58s come up for sale used.

As always, this is merely IMO where YMMV.
