Looks like a MIM Classic Player Strat body to me.

I agree....could be a Highway 1, but I don't think so.

Been looking for something to make a SRV replica or a Gilmour Black with, but I don't think that is the one. I have three MIM's and they all look like that one and have the barcode that starts with the 'M' in the body.

Most of the MIA's I have been seeing have a piece of metal as well in the neck pocket and they do not have the 'M' on any of the barcodes in the body.

I am mainly looking for one with a heavy alder body five pounds or better with a nitro finish. I might just get a heavy unfinished body and do my own finish. I already have a neck.

Hi Minnesota: the Classic Player '50s and '60s Strats come with two-point bridges and also do not have the micro-tilt that majorbytes refered to in the neck pocket. And the CP '60 Strat is available in three colour sunburst, like the one in the Ebay auction.

On the other hand, the CP '60 Strat is not made in the US and does not have nitro lacquer. So if that's what the pictures show then the seller is wrong on both those points.

For that matter, I can't think of any factory line Strat that has a two-point trem and a nitro finish. So I think the seller is mistaken or being deceptive no matter what's in his sale.

On the plus side, the CP '60 is a nice guitar, so if you don't mind about lacquer or finish it's not a bad buy (though I can't comment pricewise).

Cheers - C

The picture doesn't match the description.

1. He describes it as "Tobacco Burst". Looks like 3 tone sunburst to me.
2. He descibes it as "Nitrocellulose Lacquer Finish". I see the finish damage, but see no signs of checkng anywhere.
3. He describes it "Vintage Synchronized Tremolo with Full Steel Block & Fender Stamped Saddles", but pictured is a 2 point tremelo and no stamped saddles.

So I would not trust this to be what is claimed.

That was my perception as well, RRR.

Good call!
