Any good Guitar Tech should be able to do this. I have no idea of what something like this would cost.

A tech can do it, but it will cost. And it will change the guitar irretrievably.

For (I'm guessing) the same or less money, why not order a scalloped neck from Warmoth and switch it in? Then if you find you don't like it after all, you can always go back to the original. And while you're about it, at Warmoth you can choose all the other features of your "ultimate" neck - profile, finish, timbers, trims.

I only tried a scalloped one once. Just my personal taste, but I didn't like it at all. No Yngwie sig for me!

I agree, purchase a new neck with the features of your choice. I have owned an Yngwie before and although I liked the tone I wasn't sold on the scalloped fingerboard. One thing a scalloped fingerboard will teach you is how to play with a light touch on the strings.

how much the depth do you want?
Malmsteen got his scalloped 3mm
standard scalloped only 1.5mm to 2mm

You can scallop your original neck IF the side markers located over than 2mm
OR if the side markers located 1mm and you want to scallop it 3mm, you can put out the side markers and put some new ones

NOTE: these two are only for maple fingerboard. if you have rosewood fingerboard, just buy a new neck :D
