Have any of you played any Bill Nash Stratocaster copies yet? A guitar shop just outside of my city has 2 new Bill Nash Strat copies, a 57ri and a 63ri both with a relic finish. The 57 reissue has a medium V neck and Fralin pups, the 63 reissue has a fat C neck and Lollar pups. I played both for about 15 mins each through a Dr Z Karma Gia head and 2x12 cab at around half volume. I've got to say I'm really not impressed with either guitar, they don't feel like a real Fender at all to me. Both guitars had good tone but not great and they just didn't feel right. I would not take either one over any of my own strats, even my modded mim 60s strat sounds and feels better.

Every Fender custom shop strat I've played outclasses those Bill Nash copies and imo it's not even close. I think it just goes to show how good Fender really is at building guitars.

Thank you Fender for building the best electric guitars around, imo.

I have played a few Bill Nash's over the years and found all of them to be well built and have excellent tone. Are they Fenders? Nope but they are extremely well made and are fine tone machines. Well worth checking out.
