Both are good , solid body are tough. Not like solid wood high end acoustic guitar. Solid body guitar are close to you wood furniture.
How are your furniture at home ?

If moisture are normal in your house 20 to 50% no problem in the case or outside. Mine are on the wall since 15 years.

It is a solid wood guitar, not an acoustic. You do not have to baby a Stratocaster. Treat it like a piece of furniture. It can take just about anything you can do to it and still play nice.

How cold is it in your room? Is it really cold, or just cold.

My favorite way to "store" my Strats are hanging them on the wall so they can be seen. I put them in the cases to take them to jams and stuff, but other than that, they are center pieces of my home decor.
