I plan to buy this guitar.The owner claims that it has been reliced by a luthier..Does it look legit?Doe anyone have detailed information including year of manufacture,original color and body wood type?Thanks for consideration and time.Best regards ..

Partscaster, a '57 neck attached into a '62 body.

Pickguard and matching plastic parts are not period-correct.

That is a nice neck. I would buy the guitar on the cheap and find it an entirely new body.

Thanks for replies..A friend of mine also warned me about the pickguard.It has 11 screws and 3 plies ..57 AVRI should have a single ply with 8 screws...

Pay top dollar to have a master luthier build you a guitar just to drag around on the ground and slam into stuff. I never understood that. Yeah, I understand getting a great guy to build a wonderful guitar, but to pay to have it destroyed? lol To each their own I guess. :lol:
