The large headstock on the Stratocaster was officially introduced in December of 1965, though Fender did a few Strats with small headstocks which were made from leftover parts.

The black CBS decals debuted in late 1967/early 1968 and as of late 1971 Fender switched to the infamous 3-bolt neck fixing. It was during that period the bullet truss rod and a second string tree for the G and D strings were added.

I just took my body to the Highway one to be clear coated and buffed its a Tri Burst.
It should look very nice when finished Its one of my first guitars in a long time thats not black lol

When its finished I will post pictures, it truely is a beautiful guitar.
Thats why I didnt repaint it black 8)
