Look original to me. But too expensive guitar . Buy a good American Standard at less than half price.

Or there no guitar in your country to have a good price ?

Joaquin, this guitar is overpriced by $1000.00 US. It does look legitimate, but not worth the asking price.

I was going to say that all American Standards completed during the calendar year 1994 had that 40th Anniversary medallion on the headstock and that special neck plate (and since this guitar has an N3xxxxx serial number it was likely built early in 1994 - Fender doesn't switch the serial number decals over when they come back to work on January 2nd; they use them up). They aren't worth any more than any other American Standard from either 1993 or 1995 without the 40th Anniversary badges.

Sorry that they normally go for $2K in your country; I suppose then the $2,100 isn't too far out of line if the guitar is in top shape.

With the exception of the special neck plate and medallion, it's a regular American Standard Strat (my main Strat is a '93). Features include:

* 1-piece satin finished maple neck with maple fingerboard featuring 22 medium-jumbo frets OR glued on 22-fret rosewood fingerboard.
* 9.5" radius
* sealed "modern" tuners (I believe they're made by Schaller)
* EZ Glyder string trees
* Bi-Flex truss rod (adjustable from the headstock)
* Schaller strap-lock ready strap buttons
* Twin-pivot American Standard vibrato with powdered steel block saddles and screw in vibrato arm
* Three American Standard Strat single coil pickups (middle p/u is RWRP)
* 5-way pickup selector switch
* Master volume/ tone 1 - neck pickup/ tone 2 with TBX - bridge and middle pickups
* Paint shielded pickup and control cavities
* Polyurethane finish
* Alder body (at one point during the 90's, poplar was used)

These guitars also featured a silver "transition" era logo and include some features which were carried over from the old Standard Stratocaster (made in USA) and Elite Strat including the TBX tone control, Bi-Flex truss rod and EZ-Glyder string trees. They also have the "universal" or "swimming pool" route and white plastic pickup covers, knobs, switch tip and 3-ply pickgaurd. I guess the tip of tremolo arm should be white too, but mine came with a black-tipped arm.

Well....after almost 20 years (October) of regular use, I can say that the American Standard Stratocaster is a well-built, great sounding guitar that wont let you down. As with any mass-produced product, there have been those that didn't get proper attention to detail, but that's not the case with mine. I've been tempted to change pickups a few times, but truth be told they sound great. Of course, there are other pickup options out there if you want some thing different (not better), but the stock pups are more than adequate. Experiment with their heights and you'll find a sweet spot. The only functional change I've made to mine is the installation of locking tuners, but there is absolutely nothing wrong with the stock Schallers.

Interestingly, I saw a '93 American Standard Tele advertised on Craigs List as being "un-played" with no fret ware going for $1,1000 which is, quite frankly, too high. You can get a new one for less.
