I would like a Fender Stratocaster with a Swamp Ash body, a Maple 24 fret reverse headstock, with the EMG David Gilmour set. Kinda like my G&L, but thats probably a custom order. :?

I wish Fender would offer a 24 fret guitar(or have they before?) i'm sure it would sell well!! Especially if it looked like this?!?!

A better tremolo system (double-locking) would be nice but it is hard to circumvent the fret limits on Fender guitars. Well, yeah, you could bend the string up 2-1/2 steps like Yngwie - but have plently of spare strings about. :)

Instead of just offering 'distressed' and vintage remake guitars it would really be cool if Fender would start offering some technical/spec variability in areas besides wood and pickups. I realize that there are different necks - wider/thicker/jumbo-frets/rosewood/polyurethane-silk - but some different scale lengths to add frets would be nice.

It looks like Fender "thought" about 24 frets at the same time it "thought" about 7 strings. Never went into production, however, this is a prototype.

Now the G&L guitar that i own has a origanal Floyd and Sperzels, and no locking nut. It has the origanal nut, and in reality it doesn't need a locking nut, it stays in tune fine(as long as you keep the nut lubricated). Carvin used to or still does this but with a Graphite nut.

Oh, yeah!! I just got this Jackson PC3 off of eBay($430)..and i love the 24 fret maple. The reason i bought that, is that some of the songs we are covering require a 24 fret to play the solo's..."Hanger 18"-Megadeth for example. I was always a 22 fret guy until i got this guitar...
