Post subject: Sheilding a strat

is it enough to sheild a strat by just putting aluminum foil/copper tape only in the backplate?

Might depend on the guitar. My Strat is shielded from the factory.

It shouldn't be too much trouble to go ahead and shield everything.

I'd recommend a 100% shield cable also. I use Planet Waves Custom series because they're the cheapest I've found that are 100% shielded.

Aluminium foil don't do a good job . You waist your time.
Use black conductive ( easier ) paint or copper.
