Sorry guys. I don't normally join a forum just to ask a question, but I figured if I was going to get any accurate estimate I would come here,
I have a Fender Strat that I bought a few years ago. It is a Maple top. Quilted. And I am told has a bit of flame to it as well. I have looked everywhere and cannot find one that looks like it. Not even on the Fender website. So that is why I am here. It is in perfect condition. No scratches or blemishes. When I spoke to a few of the guitar shops they told me I was crazy to sell it, but you know the deal. Money is tight and when you become unemployed at Christmas it sucks big time. So I am going to put it on craigs list. However if you could help me put a value to it I would appreciate it. I also have an SRV Strat so I won't be out of the guitar playing world completely if I do sell this one. It is just that it is in such good shape I figured someone would want it.
Has a Rosewood neck. Comes with a case with all the stuff that came in the case too.
I can take some better pictures if needed.

So what do you think I should try for? Not a scratch on it....Thanks for any help. I appreciate it.

A few questions for you - does the guitar have a raised silver headstock decal? Does it have locking tuners and a roller nut? Does it have a pushbutton inside the volume knob?

If so then it's likely an American Deluxe Stratocaster FMT. They were made from 2004 through 2009 (or maybe 2008 - I'm not sure when it was officially discontinued). It seems like that brown tolex case was stock for the American Deluxe FMT and QMT Strats and Teles. For some reason I was thinking the earlier years had an ebony fingerboard but I could be confusing the Strat with the similar Tele model.

There aren't a whole lot of them around and I can't help you out on the price as I've never stumbled across one used. I suggest doing a search of completed ebay auctions to get a rough idea of the value. It's a nice looking guitar.

Yes it has the locking tuners. The neck had been changed out from the maple neck to the rosewood neck qbefore I bought it. So the serial number is incorrect. It is an s1 switch with the noiseless pickups.

Okay - that explains it as I thought I remembered these having an ebony fingerboard instead of a rosewood fingerboard. Are you meaning this has a different Fender neck with a rosewood board or it has an aftermarket solid rosewood neck?

Unfortunately either way that means it's worth a couple of hundred less than that it would be with the original neck.

No it is a neck off another Fender Strat. it is a Rosewood board. I realize it may be a bit less than original, but it does play really nice with the rosewood board. Plays more mellow/ If that is the right word?
