If your Jeff Beck neck is too thick then an American Deluxe is the perfect solution.
Its Modern C and has the LSR like you have now and same neck bolt setup.

On ebay the stratosphere sells strat necks you can even match your year.
its a direct bolt on replacement, is thinner and you will love it.
Some of Fender production teams best work.

Playing a bunch of different guitars for feel is something that is a must but be careful, you may come home with something you didn't think you would ever own. I went out on a Strat hunt one day and came home with a 1996 MIM Telecaster!

You're not! I agree with what you said.
Mass can only be substituted by even more mass!

Despite that, I do have 3 Strats with C-shaped necks and still love them.

to each his own ... i looked for years before i found my current strat/neck. it's a custom shop 62 reissue with 7.25 inch radius and 6105 frets. it's a mid 60's oval profile (same shape as the AVRI 62s) with a 1.65 nut so it's narrower than just about any other electric guitar i've seen.

i've tried so many different options over the years but this guitar / neck combo just "suits" me. finally, a guitar that doesn't stand in my way!

this being said, i'm also fond of the american standard necks. a bit chunkier and wider though so YMMV!

k

I found American Standards are only wider and chunkier than Squiers ans MIM Strats... But not reissues
