Hello guys,
I'm the guitarist of a indie rock band and i was thinking to buy a new guitar.
I want to know your opinion about guitars that suit that style. You know like the strokes, Arctic Monkey, TDCC, The Vaccines ...
And another thing i realy like the fender classic series 70s strat so i want to if it's a good guitar not only to play indie rock but also to other styles.

A Fender strat can do indie rock and a whole lot more. (/facepalm)

Just about any Fender electric guitar would suit the purpose soundwise. The high end models (Custom Shop, Select, Specials) might be a little too much in combination with indie attitude...

And on that Squier you mentioned: did anyone ever set it up properly..?

Yes, my teacher set it up and the quality of the guitar is more or less but it just don't reaches that point you know

The Stratocaster is in my opinion the most versatile guitar there is and I have had a ton of different guitars. You can play anything with it, just look who plays them.

If you're into Indie Rock, a whole lot of guitars will do the trick, including the Strat. I know members of The Strokes, Arctic Monkeys, and The Vaccines have used Strats at some point or another to good effect.

If you're up for something a little different, I see a lot of indie bands nowadays use Jaguars, Mustangs, Jazzmasters, and (especially) '72 Deluxe Telecasters (with the set of wide-range humbuckers)...the 72 shows up everywhere. But hey, they all get great sounds!
