Yep, its great therapy, temporary escapism, and a release of creativity. You can lose yourself in a musical universe of your own making.

Sure Tamey,

Camera flash can be a bit harsh. The metallic usually does not show through. It is available with maple fingerboard.

Now mine looks darker than that, like a bottle of dark Tawney Port. At least indoors. Been to cloudy here to bother taking it outside by time I get home from work. Maybe this weekend I can try that.

Guitar for me is a way to relax and unwind from life. I can lose myself in music far awhile and let the stress of the day flow out from my finger tips.

I have grabbed my guitar on many occasions when being very sad,
bad things do happen in life, and it's calming effect it has when you hold it.
also it has negative vibes now and then, it can be a love hate thing all the same.
I always try to remember before it was a guitar, it was a living breathing thing.

In addition to the calming effect there is a sense of pride and accomplishment at being able to pick up and play. Not everyone can do it.

It's a bit of an ego-boost when things have got you down. Good for the soul.

that is very true i often think back to the days when it took an hour to learn sunshine of your love by cream its silly to think how easy it is now and how hard it was for us then very rewarding

I enjoy playing my guitars. Happy or sad my guitars help me express myself. They keep me from getting into trouble.
