Ok, so I am a new user here and I was trying to register my guitar. I'm not sure what model it is other than being a stratocaster. I've had this guitar for about 12 years. I know it is a '98 - the serial number is N8343685 , but the product registration is also asking for my model number? I'm not sure where to find that. If anyone could help me figure out what exactly I have, I would appreciate it. thanks

EDIT: I forgot to mention, it looks exactly like a texas roadhouse - Perloid pick gaurd, Texas Special pickups, 2 string tree's and a metallic teal finish. here are some pic's.

Send an e-mail to consumerrelations@fender.com and they will tell you which model it is. I think you may have it right, but they will confirm for sure. And don't expect an instant reponse, it may take a day or two, but they always answer.

The S/N says it's a '98 Strat.

Ya, that's all I could ever figure out from the S/N was that it was a '98. I'm curious as to what model it is though. I bought it used in 2000, I think it is a roadhouse, but it could also just be a slightly modded standard or something similar. I did e-mail fender, but I haven't gotten a response yet. :(

I've not been on this forum for long, but I like it here, and this is an example of why - this sort of stuff just doesn't happen anywhere else I know of!

Not true.

The change from the TBX to the Delta-Tone "no load" system was a "running" change which occurred during 1997 and not 1999 as erroneously mentioned.

Hi chromeface,

1999=True according to our information. If you have something we don't have, would love to see it.
All the best,

Is there a link on this website that gives the level of information (i.e. color options)?

Sorry if I have asked this before; I have no short term memory.
