Well I posted awhile ago saying I was looking to either trade my 2007/2008 American Standard Strat for a Telecaster or sell it. Well I never really thought about it and this is the only Strat I ever owned ,but my Strat has 2 Custom-Staggered Tex-MexTM single-coil Strat pickups at the neck and middle and a Fender DiamondbackTM Humbucking pickup at the bridge. What is the sound difference these have from normal American Standard Stratocaster pickups? My listing on craigslist has all the info below the pictures found here:

Thank you :)

The Custom Staggered Tex-Mex pickups have more mid-range, and the pickups are a bit hotter overall than the Standard Fender pickups. Do not confuse these pickups with the Standard Tex-Mex Fender pickups. The Custom Staggered Tex-Mex tone is much smoother and less harsh and piercing than the normal Tex-Mex pickups are.

I have both types. The only way I was able to really bring the Standard Tex-Mex pickups into there own was in an Ash bodied Strat. YMMV
